We are always being asked about the kind of kit that you would need to include in a 'Bug Out Bag'
So lets look at the 'Bug Out Bag' as a concept first.
"A bug-out bag or BOB is a portable kit that normally contains the items one would require to survive for seventy-two hours when evacuating from a disaster, however some kits are designed to last longer periods. The focus is on evacuation, rather than long-term survival, distinguishing the bug-out bag from a survival kit, a boating or aviation emergency kit, or a fixed-site disaster supplies kit. The kits are also popular in the survivalism and prepper subcultures."
Simply put it is a collections of equipment in a easily transportable method that will assist your survival for a minimum of 72hrs.
We developed this list of items for your Bug Out Bag. All the elements need to be addressed on this list - the trick is to get items that covers more than one element - this is the easiest way to keep the weight of the pack to a minimum. Weight will be a key factor in any 'Bug Out Plan' as it will be a limitation that you will need to plan around.
